What the pages are

The pages are general reading about checking and closing a company's month. They are not advice about your books, and reading them does not make you a client. Rules change and apply differently from one company to the next, so confirm anything that would affect a return before relying on it.

The free Second Look call is a conversation with no engagement and no obligation on either side. Paid work starts only when both sides sign a letter that sets out the scope and the fee.

The letter, the fee and your records

The letter fixes what the work covers, and the fee follows it. Anything beyond the letter is priced and agreed first. Either side may end the engagement in writing, fees earned to that date stay due, and your records come back to you.

A close rests on the records under it. Your books, your accounts and your decisions stay yours, and when something will not match we say so plainly.

The words, drawings and clips on this site belong to the practice that publishes it. You may read, print and quote them with credit, and you may not republish the site or use it to train a product without written permission. The site is offered as it is, and nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow us to limit.

Texas law governs these terms. A dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
