Fractional ControllerAbout Fractional Controller
fractionalcontrollernow.com exists for the owner who has someone entering the books and nobody checking them. People looking for a fractional controller usually know their numbers get recorded. What they don't know is whether anyone senior ever looks at the work. This site explains that checking in one place, in plain words, so you can decide whether you want it.

Who is behind it
The Tax CFO behind this site is Steven Palmieri, known to owner-run businesses as the Entrepreneur's CFO. Steven and his team keep books, close months, prepare returns and help owners decide the year before it ends. The practice itself is based in Dallas, Texas. Our owners are spread all over the country, and the work happens on video calls and in shared files.
We write "we" on these pages because the work is done by a team, not by one person with a laptop. When you book the free call, you speak with the practice itself.
Why we built this site
It's here to answer one question. Who checks my bookkeeper's work and closes the month properly? Every page goes back to that. You'll find the order a month closes in, the accounts that get matched, what changes for your bookkeeper, what lands in your hands, and how to tell whether a part-time arrangement is enough.
Fractional Controller is the name we gave the work, and it's meant plainly. It describes a share of a controller's month, sized to your company.
What it won't do
It isn't a place to find signed outside reports on your statements, and it won't pretend to be. We prepare statements and we don't issue reports on them. One page says exactly where that line sits, so you can see it before you decide anything.
It also isn't a pitch for replacing your bookkeeper. A good bookkeeper is the base this work stands on.
What you can expect from us
We write the way we talk. We tell you when you don't need us yet. We say what a month would look like before you commit, and we put the fee in writing before work starts. When we don't know something, we say that too, and we find out.
Most of what owners ask us is answered on the questions page, which is a good place to start if you'd rather read than call.
Where to go next
If you'd like to see the work first, what a fractional controller does walks through a month. If you're ready to talk, the free Second Look call is a short video call about one recent month of your books. Nothing to sign, nothing to pay.
The practice's main site is stevenpalmieri.com, for anyone who wants the wider picture of what Steven and his team do.
We're glad to help, and glad to answer anything this site left out.
