Fractional ControllerHow these pages are checked
Who writes the pages, where the rules on them come from, and what happens when one is wrong.
How the pages are made
Pages on this site are researched from the practice's own work and Texas sources, drafted with software assistance, and reviewed under the practice's editorial standards. If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it.
Each page on Fractional Controller answers one thing an owner wants to know about the month after the bookkeeper has entered it. A writer who knows month-end work drafts it in plain words, and the rules it mentions come from public offices such as the IRS. A figure goes on a page only when that office prints it, with its year beside it, and it comes off when the office stops printing it.
The months, balances and adjustments used as examples are invented, with round numbers, and each page says so where they appear. They are never taken from anyone's books.
Who publishes the site
The site is published by the Steven Palmieri practice. Steven Palmieri works as a Tax CFO, the Entrepreneur's CFO, and Steven and his team do the checking, closing and return work these pages describe. The practice's own site is stevenpalmieri.com. No page here sends you to another site and calls it part of this one.
Which statements we prepare, and which signed reports belong with a licensed firm, is set out once on the statements page. The rest of the site leaves that subject there.
Fees and the free call
No fee appears on this site. A fee is agreed in writing, with the scope it covers, before paid work begins. The free Second Look call is a conversation about your last month and creates no engagement.
Pictures and corrections
The photographs come from Pixabay under its content license, and printed pages in them are softened so no line can be read. The drawings and short clips were made for this site. The credits page lists every photograph and its maker.
If a page gets something wrong, tell us through any form or the Ask Steven chat and name the page. We check the point and correct the wording.
